 Liver shunt
Hi everybody.. Just found out that my 5 month old Yorkie has a liver shunt today.. I have been putting it off for a bit and finally did it today.. I've had her for about a couple of months now.. She has only gained 10 OZ. she now weighs 1.5 pounds now an has a poor appetite. So I expected it.:-(. Next thing is an ultrasound and hopefully surgery. Anybody going thru what I'm experiencing now.. Would she live a healthy life without surgery and proper diet if surgery can't fix it? I put her on Hills LD diet.. Thanks |
