To be clear... what I am upset is breeding to a "look" that is unhealthy or breeding when it is KNOWN the parents carry a gene that will cause a condition that will lead to pain and or death. I am very supportive of ethicial breeders that test and do what is best for the pups
I see.....I was wondering how that was happening, because NOTHING surprises me! I used to have a gorgeous shepherd, bred by the lady that used to breed the Rin Tin Tin lines, here in Houston. This was a beautiful dog, that stood squarely on all four legs! She did not have that rear end dragging/sloped look. I do not understand why this look is so appealing to the breeders that have done this to GSD, but I am not knowledgable with the breeding practices and goals behind these dogs.
