After much research and being persistent, I just found out that my rescue is a Biewer Terrier. I posted pics of JuneBug on another dog forum and many of the other members told me that he looked like a Biewer. I never heard of them before so I went online and did some research. JuneBug matches the "standard" to a "T". I then took this to another level and contacted the BTCA (Biewer Terrier Club of America). I emailed pictures of JuneBug to the vice president (who happens to live about an hour from me) and she, in return, forwarded the email and pictures to all the board members. The president, located in Florida, told me that he definitly looks like one and would consider him a Biewer. Only thing is to make sure he is a purebreed, I would need genetic testing to be done.

JuneBug is a happy, neutered 3-4 yr. old active boy who is a family pet and like my own kid (I personally do not have any kids of the human type..lol). I have no desire whatsoever to do such testing to see if he is a purebred. All I needed was the opinion of the club members and therefore, I now have a rare Biewer Terrier. I read about their history and it is very interesting. If interested, I have included a link for your reading pleasure. Once you click on the link, the very first page that comes up is about the breed and a good read. I also found out that these dogs are easily being sold for over $2,000!
