I'm so sorry that your own vet didn't tell you about CareCredit as most of them tell their patient's people about it as soon as they sense medical care might have to be withheld due to lack of funds and so there isn't a big delay before people can find out about it on their own. In fact, I've over-heard vets & vets offices urging people to use it.
