I think it is wonderful to read and hear about people adopting Yorkies. Of course, I will never understand why these adorable and loving babies would ever be in that position!

I have a male...........I don't think it would matter much though. As long has you would work with him and give him what he needs, I think he would end up just as if you had him always.

Medical problems....that's another issue. I have taken in dogs that no one else wanted because they were always sick. Of course, I always ended up spending thousands and then they would pass on anyway. BUT for me, it didn't matter. As long as they were free of pain and happy for a few years or so, it was worth it....course the heartbreak is another story. In other words, I wouldn't mind taking in a rescue even if he had medical problems.....but that is something each family has to decide on.

I think as long as you have the time to train him and help him in areas that he needs the help, he would do just fine in your family and with your girl.
