Cry Sudden Ataxia and Vomiting

Marley sometimes get these weird episodes that last around 5 minutes, and these episodes only happen every 2 or 3 months, or when he exercises vigorously. When these episodes occur, his walk looks uncoordinated and then he falls to his side. It seems like he looses control of his hind legs and can't even stand up, and will end with him vomiting. By the time I get to the vet his symptoms are gone and acts like nothing happened, thus the vet is not able to determine what is wrong. At first we thought he ate something bad from the backyard, but then other episodes would occur after vigorous play.
His last episode happened last night around 1:30 am, and then a few minutes later he was fine.
I don't feel this is normal. I'm worried, and feel anxious not knowing whats causing this. I took him to the vet this morning and we had his blood taken to the lab. Just waiting for his results.
Right now Marley is active and eats and drinks fine.
Has anyone heard of this before?
