Sounds like I'm not the only one who has to deal with this silliness. I agree that substandard breeding has led so many to believe that yorkies should all fit in a purse! Being 7 pounds, my dog is still tiny, but for whatever reason, people think she should fit in the palm of my hand! The book Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies would be an eye opening read for many. I want to get her a tshirt that say "There is no such thing as a teacup!" Might keep people from opening their mouths! I agree Becky, trying to educate someone about the breed is pointless, I must learn to just smile and say " more to love!" |
