I love that you took your pups on vacation with you! Mine are the love of my life and they have always vacationed with us. We go camping and stay at pet friendly resorts. We are not the tourist type family and just enjoy hanging out with each other. Boating, fishing, beach/water fun are high on our list of vacation activities.
