I do understand how if one is called "naïve and un-educated in the same sentence it could seem like an insult. I don't believe my fellow YTers meant it that way. Naïve by itself is not an insult, nor is un-educated, for after all most adults can be both naïve and un-educated about many topics; for example nuclear fusion, GMO's, IPO's, Black holes, etc.

And for many what makes a reputable breeder is not something the public spends much time thinking about.

But it aches my heart if you are supporting a breeder who is advertising purse size Yorkies!. Oh my oh my.

Yorkies are dogs first and foremost. Proud, intelligent, active, confident, territorial, stubborn, sweet and loving, all wrapped up in a 5-7lb package. Well tempered Yorkies don't just think, they know they are 110 lb dogs.

They are not meant to be carried in purses, but meant to be the proud, intelligent, self-sufficient dog they truly are. They were actually bred to be ratters!

The only time I have ever put my Yorkie in a "purse" was a travel bag, when we flew to Oregon and again to NYC.

The only time I ever picked up my Yorkie outside on his walks, when a Rottie came charging will full intent out of the bush. And that even I was forced into doing, as I had my large dog, charge back, and Razzle was all ready to get into the fray and defend his pack!

Yorkies are fierce beasties, and should be treated with outmost respect. Not relegated to some-ones purse!!!
