Animals love "routine". If their rountine is the family only or even some people coming over occassionally, then that is what they will be used to and be very confident in that situation and it can be surprising when all of the sudden your well balanced pup is scared to death in a different situation. When knowing you are going to be in a situation like that, have anyone that is going to approach do it in a calm manner....this makes a huge difference. A bunch of strangers "ohhh"ing and "awe"ing and loud and exicted are sure to scare a pup that doesn't get out a lot (even one that does). A gentle approach makes all the difference. Also, from my experience, Yorkies do start to lift their leg around 6-7 months.
