I have been reading many threads here, so much good advice and info. Now I am wondering if anyone can give me advice. My 7 yr. old, Ginger, has only been with me since last November and came to me with a few clothes and collar and leash. She now has just about everything to keep her happy and well fed. However, no toys!!!
I don't know what to offer her as the price of some toys keeps me from just experimenting with different ones. Ginger is not very active, maybe because I am not either; having spent many months recovering from fractured arms and messed up knees due to an accident.
She will walk with me when the weather permits and I have watched her 'run' when we are outdoors. Otherwise, she is content to lay by my side when I am on the computer, reading a book, etc. The only time that I have witnessed her playful side is when I offer her a small treat and she chases it around and actually tosses it in the air. Fun to watch. But I do not want to keep giving her treats all day long now, do I???
