Did a dog die in your yard that had Parvo? Parvo will stay alive a minimum of 6 months and longer in warm areas. If a previous dog died of Parvo then your house will have to be cleaned along with anywhere the other dog could have walked.
If your dog does not have the shots your vet can do blood work to see if they have picked up Parvo. Parvo can be cured if discovered early enough.
The shots are critical and petedge.com does carry product that kills parvo germs also.
When I go to the pound I only wear one pair of shoes or I cover the shoes I am wearing and never wear those shoes into my car/house.
