 Have a question about Yorkies and birds!
We have had our pup since December, and we also have an African Grey parrot. Our parrot loves to talk to Hercules, and it gets the dog very excited. It's actually pretty numerous to watch. Our concern is, Hercules loves to eat the bird poo. We keep the bird cage in our main living area, and keep the door open because the bird loves to sit on top of his opened cage door. I change the paper under the door several times a day, but would use a ton of paper if I changed it every time he went poo. The dog loves to eat it (nasty, know). Would there be any health concerns we should be worried about from this? We do correct him every time we see him eating it, and we don't want to keep our Grey locked up since they are very social birds. |
