We have a lot of teachers and nurses. That's cool
I have a degree and worked in IT for 6 years as a database programmer/analyst. Then, life circumstances brought me back home from Maryland (where I worked for the IRS). Then, the recession hit...
I somehow ended up working as a Dispatcher with a car-haul trucking company. I've been here 3 years this week. I'm a Fleet Manager now. I used to adore my job and I still love most aspects of it. However, the man that hired me died a couple of years ago and last year they brought in a new manager over our region. I hear rumors he is gone after August and I can only pray that is true. This man is someone who makes everyone's life miserable. I have never encountered someone like him in all my 44 years. He seriously just has a dark spot where the heart goes and it's sad.
He has made several drivers leave out of frustration and the only reason I didn't leave a year ago is because I had just moved into my house...which I love love love. I've managed, thru prayer, to deal with this man. But boy...I sure hope he is really out of here next month. I would love to love my job again.
