We went to the vet this morning. She is 38 days. At 30 days she weighed 5lbs. Now she is is weighing 5 1/2 lbs. Also at 30 days the vet palpated her and said he thinka she feels "several puppies" today he felt her and said he couldnt feel any skull or pelvis. All he could feel was her full bladder. He said she could be going through a false pregnancy. We have a xray set up on day 52 to see if there are pups. Obviously I am still new at this and I want the very best for my dog and pups. I called my mil to ask her about this false pregnancy but she didn't answer.
But from what I have researched, its best to palpate around 30 days and after like 32 days it is hard to tell. And at 38 days the bones arent calcified all the way yet right? So wouldnt finding a skull be hard? |
