Do you know the background of the stud or what size he typically throws? Adult size is no indication of his background, as he may just be the smallest in his litter and his background is 9 lbs. with large birth weights.

Common misconception.....it is what is behind the dogs that determines size. But with a seasoned breeder in the family, she has probably shared this with you.
