The surgeons actually took a bone graft out of Zhoie's right shoulder to form a den, wired and cemented hers too. I've read on the AAI forum it's most important to keep up up the brace changes, so they can be checked for rubbing and infection due to the brace.

Just step back and take a deep breath, you are doing great at caring for your girl!

After a few weeks Zhoie was allowed out of total small cage confinement and could be kept in a pup stroller for remaining period of the 12 weeks. My office is in my home, so that was a great help. I strolled her room to room and parked her beside our bed every night, not quite as good as being in the big bed, but she was happier just being close to it.

I'll check back later on to see how you are doing

PM me if I can be of any help to you.
Thank you so much! Miss Daisy is doing pretty good. We go back to her surgery vet weekly for her brace change but this last time we didn't even make it 3 hours and she had worked her way out of her brace again. So, I went to WalMart and walked around till I could find something to make into a brace. I ended up getting a coozy and cutting it to fit her head and neck and using Velcro to hold it together. It is actually working really well! It's holding her head where she needs to be and she can't scratch or roll out of it. It's amazing what you can come up with when you are frustrated and determined. Only problem we have had this past week is her vet here in town thinks she is getting depressed. She used to stand in her pen and dance when she would see someone, now she just lays around. She is not eating as good but she is still eating. I know it has got to be hard on her. I would be depressed too if I was her.
