My Morkie Bailey has decided he wants me to hold him on my legs or in my arms when he sleeps, but he wants to be on his back. Is this normal behavior?

Also, my mother just picked up her Yorkie-poo today and she weighs 1.3lbs at 8 weeks old, any ideas on what kind of bag/purse would be good for her to use to take her with her?
