Default Can't get mats to stay out.

Gypsy's puppy coat is matting up all over the place. She's almost 11 weeks, and she is all hair.

I have been brushing her with a slicker brush every single day, twice a day. She hates it...but a slicker brush is the only thing that works and it doesn't even work that well. Every time I turn around her hair is matted again. The pinbrush does absolutely nothing...it goes right through her hair and doesn't catch a single snag - only the slicker works.

The only way I can explain it is "twisty", her puppy hair twists around itself and creates little twistclumps (not sure if that makes any sense) but she has these twisted hair clumps all over the place (think doggy dreadlocks). Her hair is stick straight, so it's not a curly/frizz issue. I don't know what she is mixed with (Yorkshire Terrier Mix is what she was assessed as by the SPCA).

Right now I am using Organic Oscar shampoo and conditioner. It seems to do the job, but surely there is something out there I can use to stop her from matting up so much?

Thank you in advance
