Unfortunately, it seems pretty likely that the new schedule we may implement will not be widespread, In other words, I wouldn't hold out for your vets to switch. It is a major move and without the AAHA soecifically releasing guidelines about it, there is no way most offices will go to 5 years when they just went to 3.
But you could take that above posted document and show them the minimum 5 year DOI thing. OR you can do what I do...choose your own schedule and do what you want.
Please be careful though. I see some do what they want but they are doing it incorrectly and putting their dogs at risk.
