I like to build toy drive first before fetch, although from a young age, some pups really catch on fast to fetch.
I have some pics on Magic Happy 5th birthday thread, that shows me on the floor with him 8wks old following a rubber ball with handle on it toy. And so it begins.
Well actually it should have already begun at the breeders..
I like getting an assortment of different toys, Shapes, firm/soft, textured or not, ones that make squeaky noises, etc.
And the only thing I usually leave out are the rope chews. Rest of the toys are kept either in our toy cupboard, or our water bag - for the water toys and that bag is kept in our car. Then it is so very exciting when I open the cupboard and get some toys out from the box.
Also like to use the leash, and we start in the house first, then backyard, then front yard, and then out to various parks.
