And as the saying goes, " each one teach one" meaning each person who knows a craft (any craft) should teach one other person, so the craft is carried on. My daughter decided in December that she wanted to make her boyfriend a quilt. I told her I would only teach her. I wouldn't purchase fabric, I wouldn't cut or sew fabric and I wouldn't quilt it for her, it had to be 100% her own. She came up with the pattern and blocks she liked, I helped her figure the sizes she would need and how much fabric to purchase of each, and helped her figure out a placement of blocks. She has 1/2 of the quilt completed. It will have 2 panels like this one, will be queen sized and be 8 blocks across and 10 down, so what I am showing is merely 1/4 of the entire quilt. She is proud, and so am I. (I personally don't care for the fabrics, but its not my quilt).
