Hi Barb! I can't stress enough how important the phrase "buy your breeder first" really is. There's a lot of information here on YT that will certainly help you find that breeder that's perfect for you.

Here's a list to current AKC suspensions that may help you sift out those undesirables (sometimes people will register with other non reputable registries when they've been suspended or removed from AKC): http://www.akc.org/about/secretarys_page.cfm
