I can remember a thread where several people gave this person a really really hard time because of the use of her smiles. It was really unnecessary. Which proves my point. She added smilies and they saw RED. and totally misinterpreted her meaning. I like my smilies and yes I am on of those people who will post them in a sarcastic and sort of smart a** manner. I have no shame and will not make any excuses for it. But I also use them if I think it will make someone laugh or even feel better.
I do kind of like some of your interpretation of them and will keep those in mind next time I want to let someone know that I have the mods wrapped around my little finger or want to piss someone off !!

Finally someone who will admit what I alluded to, thank you Dawn...at least you admit it...there are also times when people use them to taunt and hurt and belittle (not accusing you Dawn)...I do hate those ones...why can't these people say what they really mean in written word??? and why does anything go so deep on a personal level? Really? This is your community, you need to stick together...thick and thin...or like those in the past, people will just leave.
I'd like to believe that we are all compassionate enough to accept each other with our own differences and personalities- after all, those of us on here know each other well enough to know when something is bothersome...why not rally around that person instead? I don't expect newbies to understand all the ins and outs of each of us...but maybe I expect more from the regulars and time and time again I see the swords being swung...
My real intention here was a jab at Sugarmamma, who loves to torture me with them smileys...the smileys don't bother me...like ya all think they do, its the words they sometimes replace that bother me....suppose a smiley is better than the words sometimes...I don't know...but I was just goofing...no secret I don't like em...never have never will I do love a smiley, a real smiley...not a smartass grin in sunglasses....
