Ok this is hard to say ... I got my oldest Yorkie when she was a puppy, 12 years ago and I didn't know a lot about Yorkies. Apparently my vet didn't either, because she kept telling me how bad I was because Mrs. Beasley was so big. "Yorkies are only be about 7 pounds."
Needless to say Mrs. Beasley and I suffered for years until I gave up on "keeping her the correct weight."
Now Mrs. Beasley is a proud member of the teapot club and Happy, Happy, Happy.
So if your baby is bigger, just keep her happy, healthy, and enjoy every moment.
