Thanks everyone for the kind words and prayers for Jake. It I amazing how much I miss the sights and sounds of him. My sadness is helped knowing he is now at peace. It was harder to watch him go from the alpha dog of the house to the most vulnerable. He used to walk for miles but could not walk half way down the street without having to be carried home. He remained a great companion and great watch dog in spite of being deaf and blind. I knew my Jake loved me. I hope he knew how much I loved him. |
