I'm sorry to hear about Jake, but wow, that's great that he got 10 happy years with you after such a rough early life. It's amazing what a sweet human can do for a scared furbutt that shelters want to just write off. I just love reading stories about awesome people who are able to bring out the awesome potential of dogs who had previously been held down from being the dog they could be. I know the heartbreak is so acute right now, but know in the big picture that you guys were both big winners for having each other.
