Then I had an inground fiberglass pool installed. Loved, loved, loved it. It's the only kind of inground I'd ever choose to have again. Then kids went away to college, so I sold up the big house and bought a lil house for just me.
But I missed my pool...bad. So I bought another blowup ring & fill type. Didn't love it & not really swimmable. Then the following summer I had friends visiting from England, so I bought an Intex ultra-frame pool. Great pool, great quality, but it's small & 54" deep. I didn't like the depth/side wall height as it was a pain to climb over (& I'm terrified of heights and it scared the heck out of me!). So this year I didn't set it up. Then the heatwave his this week...boy did I regret it.
So TODAY I bought a 12ft x 30inch deep metal frame pool, and just set it up this afternoon. I love it! It's not the quality of the Ultra-frame (which cost $1300), but it's short (so I can step over it..no ladder

) and it has the same surface area for floating as the ultra-frame one I had....but it was only $130!!! So if I only get this year out of it, I'm great!
Here's what I got. I'll take my own pic of mine later, as it's still filling with water right now.
