The last time I went to the animal shelter I did come home with a new dog. She is a great pet and I couldn't imagine life without her. Someone just turned her in. There were so many dogs there. They post an info sheet on each kennel with stuff about each dog. I can't believe how many are "owner surrender" and common reasons are divorce or moving and new landlord doesn't allow pets. Excuse me? Uh...keep looking for another place to live. What if they don't like kids? Gonna give them away too? Really makes me mad. I have a cat that doesn't have too many redeeming qualities. Well she is pretty. But she is cranky and doesn't seem to want to be held or touched and mostly just eats. But she's my cat. I adopted her. Till death do us part. That's it. No one gets abandoned. What is wrong with some people.
Anyway, I can't go the pound for a while. I would probably come home with another dog.
