I have 3 sets of stairs for Rowdy and he uses them all. He's about 4 1/2 lbs and is now able to jump on the couch and my hubby's chair - but he still uses the stairs and I'm really glad. He can't get on the bed so he has to use the stairs - he usually uses them to come down but sometimes just jumps off. I try to get him to use the stairs to come down, rather than jumping - but it doesn't always work!
The stairs you posted a picture of look just fine to me. I think they will be fine. Rowdy's steps are about 6 inches deep. I have 2 sets of the ones at this link
