Secondly - my general Internet searches have told me that 8 weeks is the ideal time to take your new puppy home. However - a lot of YT threads say (strongly!) that 12 weeks is the right time. I've trusted YT and asked the breeder to hold onto my little Pippa for a few more weeks. Can anyone explain why usually 8 weeks is ok, but for Yorkies it is 12 weeks? Is it perhaps because they are so tiny?

I think that is the perfect time to take her home and gives Mom the time to teach her little ones a bit of what their life is all about. Enjoy!!
