We adopted our dog from a family that hadn't quite trained her, and told us that she would pee on whatever was in her crate. When we got her, I bleached the crate and bought a new pad. Then, I put her food and water in there affixed to the side of the crate (we are using the traditional wire crate with the pan).
Since then, she's always eaten in her crate (now we just leave the door open, we don't have to confine her anymore) and I think that stopped the behavior of doing business in there. Might work for you! Good luck! |
