Yours look like they have full hair surrounding their tails (but it's hard to see)...so you said you only trim around the anus ..a dime size circle around. So...I figured it was time for a trim I just don't know how to go about doing that and have zero chance of hurting her.
I'd like to use the trimmers since I can go along her skin and not hurt her (I did her ears the other day)...but I don't know how to do that without taking off way too much hair since the trimmer is a bit wide.
...I was actually thinking about stealing my husband's mustache trimmer (it looks like a hair trimmer but it's very narrow). O_O I made the suggestion to him last night and his response is something I am not allowed to say in a public forum. Suffice it to say he said no way.
Could I simply buy another mustache trimmer for her booty? (they're cheap) |

I think you are right not to risk scissors on a squirmy dog. A mustache trimmer should work. I would buy one devoted to doggy rear ends only. LOL, your husband. I don't blame him.
It is good that you are cleaning her rear end daily. I check daily to make sure nothing is left behind. We use a wet cotton ball when Teddy has a little junk to be cleaned.
