Please tell me if signing a release form at the groomer is normal? The groomer made me fill a form about Bentley and at the end of the paper it said if something were to happen to him during grooming I would have to cover it financially, this made me feel really uneasy, I dont know why I signed it since I've never heard any of you guys mention something like that and I started to worry after I dropped him. I dont know. I am just thinking if something were to really happen to him why should it be my responsibility? And also I would like to be able to raise hell and sue if Bentley got hurt here
Another thing was that she was "okay" not very nice, she owns the small shop and she didnt offer to show me around and she knew it was my first time.
Then when I went to pick up Bentley she made me pay first, she gave me the receipt and she didnt let me see Bentley until AFTER I paid her. I thought this was shady? Like she was trying to get her money in case I didnt like the cut? Bentley was ready 15 minutes before I went to pick him up so I dont think there was any reason for holding him?
She's supposed to have a lot of experience, and I read some reviews and I just told myself not to be so skeptical.
I heard about her from a member here in YT
Here's her website:
Poodle Penthouse - National Award Winning Certified Master Groomer - Poodles, Pomeranians, Bichons, Chihuahuas, Maltese, Shih Tzu, Tampa, Florida
This could be normal but I've never went to a groomer before and that's why I am asking. Maybe I should try another groomer next time? I was thinking about a mobile groomer. That way I can stay with him and he wont have to be so many hours waiting for his haircut. She took 3 hours.
This is the one I would like to try next, I checked on google and facebook and it has a lot of good reviews:
HydroDog Mobile Pet Grooming
Opinions???

If anyone is in Tampa, Fl any recommendations would be appreciated
