Thank y'all. She is doing really well. She is only 7 months so I have a hard time keeping her calm. We had to keep her sedated for the first couple weeks after surgery because she was so excited she could walk I couldn't keep her still. We did have some complications with the surgery and the screws didn't hold like they should have because her bones aren't fully developed. So they had to fuse together her first 3 vertebrae with pins and cement. Maybe that's why they have her in a brace. I just assumed that they all did with this surgery. I am so happy that your dogs are doing good after the surgery. I have been a nervous wreck about her and I have tried so hard not to get attached since there was a chance that the surgery wouldn't hold but I am head over heals for this little girl. It's nice getting to talk to people who have gone through the same thing. Give me hope she will pull through. |
