Ours got the hiccups a lot as puppies, but have all outgrown them except the newest addition, Gypsy. The vet said they get the hiccups as puppies because they're still trying to figure out when they're full, and oftentimes they eat or drink too fast which can also bring them on. Gypsy gets them a lot, but she's a puppy. Sprout and Bella stopped getting hiccups. I haven't seen Sprout with the hiccups for about 13 years, and Bella hasn't had them for about a year.
