Yeah...I'd probably cut out the cottage cheese for at least 3 weeks, and leave the kibble as is. That way, you get the facts on the cottage cheese effects.

If that doesn't fix it, then I'd def switch foods. You'd want to look at the label of current food and note what's in there (protein source, carb source etc) and then find a quality food that had different ingredients.

Have you ever suspected reflux? Does she swallow a lot when she's feeling yucky and/or lick her mouth more, as if she tastes something in it?
