So its blocks.... you may be able to find what is called period fabric (fabric from that period) to complete it, or if you are more interested in just having the finished quilt as a keepsake, just suck it up and use fabric from now.
I would be willing to help you if you want.... I know you're busy now, but later when things settle down.
