Default R.i.p. Karma

You were not a Yorkie nor even a Dog, but you were my beloved cat of almost 9yrs.

And today we did what had to be done, to ease your pain. I do so hope you have found Zoey now over that rainbow bridge.

There are few eulogies given to these wondrous, independent creatures, that do so enrich our lives.

Karma died of fibrous sarcoma, along with a few mast cell tumors.

He was my first purebred cat. A Maine Coone. I received him as a young puppy 16wks old. He was to have been sold to Germany for breeding, but somehow the deal fell through, and as the breeder had to go to his fathers' funeral, I got this lovely show cat, which of course I neutered when the time was right.

He truly was a gentle giant. Wanting only to be in the room with you. He was much like a dog is. Following you room to room. Wanting his pets when he wanted them of course!

He raised our young dog puppies. Taught Magic how to stalk prey, and Razzle how to leap really far. In all his inter-actions with our dogs, he never unsheathed a claw, or even hissed at the pups.

He travelled with me all across Ontario and even into the States, went to dog shows in his younger years, and was my constant bed buddy.

We hiked together in his very early years - although he did hate camping!

And now way too early he is gone from my life, our life.

He will be deeply missed.

Go well my brown tabby, hunt high and long and free. Give your Zoey gal some kisses from us.
