I learned from trainers who post videos on YouTube. Have you tried cutting apples in tiny little pieces and use them as treats?
The YouTube videos are great! Just search for "dog training" or "how to teach sit (down, shake ...) ... I use Cheerios or tiny apple pieces, and believe it or not, I am teaching him "Roll Over" with a sock! Hahaha he loves that old sock and his "treat" is tug-of-war with it!
Also keep training sessions short, about 5-10 minutes. And have a lot of patience! Don't get frustrated because they can sense it. Keep calm and use a neutral tone of voice.
