There were little Chihuahua puppies for sale and I knew right away that they were from a puppymill. They were tiny, my guess is that they were barely 6 weeks and one was trying to nurse the other  It broke my heart, I nearly burst into tears right there in the store. I knew there was nothing I could do to save those puppies without condemning their parents. After staring at their sweet, innocent faces for a little while I finally left. I drove back to where we were staying and the first thing I did was hug Henri (we were able to bring the dogs with us), I thanked my lucky stars that he never had to go through that, I kissed him and snuggled him and cried.
This kind of thing breaks my heart and makes me angry that puppymills have been allowed to continue  I was crying writing this from remembering those poor puppies and how helpless I felt |
I wish more people would realize this!
If no one buys from pet stores, and I mean no one buys ANYTHING (not an animal,not a toy, not a chew, not an item of clothing, not a single thing), they can not make MONEY, therefore can not stay in business.
