I absolutely agree. I would look into a natural pain medication we (the natural/holistic/vet-nutritionist community) have been testing called Kratom. Kratom is a cousin of the coffee plant (but has no caffeine) it has several alkaloids in it, two in specific that make it a great substitute for opiates for both dog and people. There are trials going on with it for depression and fibromyalgia as well.
