keylo had it before transport from Louisianna to Maine......she ended up with kennel cough. my latest foster had the vac on May 22nd and was transported with many other dogs on July 9th where we picked her up from Hampton NH and she sneezed all week and had a clear discharge from her nose..i thought it was allergies but all three of mine started with KC the night she left........so for me i say it gives it to them as i asssume they are streessed during transport and their immune system is down. so i guess if they are not going to be stressed and stay in thier usual environment the chances of it protecting instead of contracting is better. jm three cents from personal experience.
