Yes, this is very true and has been for a long time. Shelters often call it 'Black Dog Syndrome', bc black pets are so hard to get adopted, sadly
. It's so odd though, bc I don't have a single bad association with black dogs, so where does it come from for people who do have a weird feeling about black dogs? I associate black dogs with awesome dogs, like black labs. Maybe it's bc of the movies, partly, bc often 'mean' dogs in entertainment are black.
