No shock collar if he is reactive he will go through the roof and either explode or quite.
Trust me niether is fun to try and fix.
Barking is also a sign of reactivity and he is under stress some how.
I not put him on a leash and do the door bell thing until you have spoken to a behaviouist and also make sure that this person only uses gentle ways.
The reason I say this is that the door bell thing is close to flooding and should only be done under a trained pair of eyes if then. Flooding on an reactive dog is not easy to do or the best way to go.
