I got this for my two. We take it to the river, out in the yard and we're taking it with us to the beach. It rinses off very quickly so you can use it outside and inside. I do not have the roof, but we do not leave them out unattended. I unlatch one end and stretch it across our deck and they have a larger area to play in.
