My first thought was animal shelters too Even if it's opened they'd soon go through it before it had a chance to go stale or 'off'

I've often given sachets of cat food to the charity I help when mine have decided overnight that they don't like it....even though the little monkeys had previously been licking the pattern off the plate because they wanted every tiny morsel!!!!
