My girlfriend and I went to go shopping today, HOW we ended up at our Local Dog Pound I don't know, but we did, I had never been there.
It was so sad, I started crying as soon as I walked in the door, not because they aren't taken care of, but because they all got so excited and stared at ya with " those" eyes, I just felt so helpless,and wanted to save them all, which I know I can't , but I want to find them all homes, that they deserve.

They had about 20 dogs there, mostly big dogs, one little black lab/mix pup that we held and kissed,, he was so cute.. Kohl, I named him. And they had a Jack Russell Terrier there that did a flip off the side of his cage for us, that was something. The woman said he bites and hates other dogs, but he was very friendly to us. I breaks my heart. I just wanted to stay all day and pet and talk to them all, and give them the love and attention, they so need, and deserve. Some were older dogs,and ya know how that goes, that made me even more sad,and I really paid attention to those ones.

Then we decide on our mission to go to the cat shelter..we did it was closed, so that's tomorrow.

We then went to our local pet store, I bought Bailey a Bully Stick, after all the raves here,,OH he LOVES IT, he growled at the cat when he walked by thinking the cat might take it. Got him some yogurtdrops also since Lil" mis' Magic sent him some and he loved them too.

We also had a long talk with the pet store owner about bringing dogs into his store on weekends so people would see them and they would get more exposure and he thought that sounded great, he said he wants to get some cages and keep some dogs there to adopt, like Petsmart does w/ cats. So it sounds promising and he said we can pick the dogs out and help him with it all, whatever WE want to do, so I called the Pound back and left a message to see what she thinks.. I hope it works out. Wish us luck.
