A funny story...you'll like this...
When I was in college, I waited tables at a dinner theater called Dixie Stampede in Gatlinburg, TN. (
www.dixiestampede.com) They are also in Orlando, Fla., Myrtle Beach, SC, and Branson, Mo.
Anyway, we had to wear civil war uniforms. SO hokey, but it fit the work environment. I think I laughed at my reflection in the mirror for a week until I got used to it. During the Christmas months, we had to wear ELF uniforms. They restaurant, like Medieval Times, had one side against another. Our sides, of course, were North vs. South. During Christmas, North pole vs. South pole. (I attached the only photo I had of me in the christmas elf uniform).
I commuted an hour to work and an hour back home every day. I made bank at this job in tips, so I didn't mind....but...it still was a tiresome drive. One day, a handsome waiter asked if we could carpool since we lived near each other and I agreed.
After two hours of conversation, we got to know each other quite well - and I got a bad crush on him. A year and a half later, we were married! Isn't that crazy.....we met in those hokey uniforms! So you just never know!
