Default Twitches? every time i touch his back...

My yorkie is almost 2 years old. He has always had a sensitive spot on his back where if you would touch it he would kinda spasm in a way. Not in pain, but i could tell its uncomfortable. I thought it was a pinched nerve because they always go away. Lately it has gotten worse, it all over his back. If i scratch him he starts tweaking and kicking his back leg.
A few things to mention:
No fleas
I feed him blue dog food
His skin seems healthy, i find no redness or bumps anywhere. Maybe a tad dry but nothing extreme.
Bathing him does not change his "condition"
I use Chris Christensen shampoo and conditioner

His mood or activity level does not seem affected by this. Although sometimes he twitches from just wind blowing the fur on his back.
I don't have the money to take him to the vet for another week or two and was wondering if anyone has had this problem before. Any help would be great. I feel terrible for my Sampson, he seems bothered by it. Another thing actually, he's always nibbled on his legs, maybe this has something to do with it? He is a very healthy boy, every time i take him in for his check up everything is fine, so i don't know what it could be.
